Speed Test Slow on both Dell Inspiron 11 3000 laptops- Desktop wireless good

I have two Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series laptops and a HP ENVY desktop.  Both run wireless internet.  I have high speed Comcast. On the HP desktop I get a download speed test of 131Mbps, on the Dell laptops I only get 4.15Mbps download speed. My Samsung and ipads all have fast speed times as well.  I have updated drivers to most current and followed various postings for driver settings - but still the Dell's do not increase speed. Any ideas ? Thanks !

Hi,

Vostro 470, Windows 7 64 bit

I have 2 unrecognized Bluetooth devices in Device Manager under Other devices:

Both devices listed as Bluetooth Peripheral Device

Both devices have this error: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Hardware ID for device #1 is:

BTHENUM\{936da01f-9abd-4d9d-80c7-02af85c822a8}_LOCALMFG&0045

I have installed the latest available driver for my system from support.dell.com:
Dell Wireless 1703 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Driver
Version 9.2.0.514, A00
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=C54GH

Windows Update cannot find the drivers either.

What are these devices, and can anyone help me find the correct drivers?

Anybody know how to decipher a BTHENUM?

Thanks

My laptop isn't detecting my wifi adapter.  At the base of the laptop the wifi light is on indicating that it is working so i suspect its a driver issue.  I have tried to download the Dell Wireless 1704/1708 WiFi Driver and Dell Wireless 1703/1705/1901 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Driver but both downloads are failing and I don't know why. This has been happening on and off since the Windows 10 update. Previously I could just reset my laptop to a point where the wifi was working to fix it but this isn't working anymore.  Looking around other websites a lot of people seem to have this issue and I have tried other fixes but none of them have worked. Any solutions?

Dell 4600 on known good connection fast upload but download only 1MBPS?

My friend tried his vintage dell 4600 on my WOW line and got normal upload but only fractional download speeds.

We are Dell fans but I have the Dell 8400 running the same XP, but mine gets 50 MBs download?

I tried reinstalling his network driver and unchecked everything but IPV4 in the network services.

Still only gets 1MPS download speed which of course makes a mess and hangs the system.

Must be a tweak somewhere to get his 10/100 ethernet compatible?

His system hasn't connected properly in years over wireless either.

Thanks!

Connection/Pairing Failure - HP Roar Bluetooth Speaker and DELL Laptop

Anyone knows how to get an HP Roar Bluetooth speaker to pair with my DELL Inspiron 15 (Series 5559) laptop (Windows 10, 64-bit)?  I keep getting connection failure messages.  I had no problem pairing the speaker with my iPhone 6 Plus.  Both units (HP speaker and DELL laptop) are only months old and under warranty, yet both HP and DELL are offering only fee-based tech support for this problem, which I refuse to accept.  I visited the DELL support web site, hoping to download an appropriate driver, but found no option for Bluetooth.

Note that, in Device Manager, under Bluetooth, nowhere does the name DELL appear among drivers.  All I see there are:

-          Bluetooth LE General Attribute Service

-          Bluetooth Mouse 3600 (a Microsoft device, paired)

-          Intel® Wireless Bluetooth®

-          Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

-          Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inspiron 15R SE 7520 - Wireless Issue

The last couple days I have had issues connecting to my home wireless network.  The PC recognizes the network, but is not able to connect to it ("Can't connect to this network" error message).

I generated a wireless network report (netsh wlan show wlanreport), which contained a number of errors, but I am not sure what they indicate (bad wireless card?).

If connected with an ethernet cable to the router, the PC is able to connect to the network.

The network card is an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Snoopwall Enterprise 10 vs Sonicwall TZ 600?

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to see if anyone has experience with both TZ 600 or similar level product and Snoopwall Enterprise 10. I have noticed that Snoopwall's primary function in anti-mac spoofing which is something that the TZ 600 that I already have can do. That said, there are reporting functions such as being able to see hipaa compliance that I don't believe the TZ line is capable of. That said, for most of the controls portion of the hardware, is the TZ 600 capable of performing the same functions? Is it worth investing in a Snoopwall Enterprise 10 in addition to my TZ 600?

Thanks,

Jon

Bluetooth Enabling

Just got a Precision 5510 computer - one of the issues I'm dealing with is the BlueTooth.  I can't bring it to life.  BIOS refers to it as enabled, I installed the drivers for it (Win 7 64) yet it's not showing up in task bar, and nothing in the device manager, and nothing when I scan for it.  Could it be defective or not present? Here is what I see in my system configuration on Dell Support:

Hi, everybody. I want upgrade wlan card in my laptop Inspiron 7347. I look for dual band m2 adapter.

I try this card

3.0+HS,4.0(BLE)
BT 4.0

but there is error 10 in device manager. I try different drivers from intel and dell site, but it didn't solve this problem

Which dual band card from Intel is good for this model.

Maybe this one:

What differents in m2 connector type 2230 and 1216 ?

10Gb to 1Gb SFP+ Module Recommendation

Good afternoon.

In error, I purchased a Dell PowerEdge R630, with a QLogic 57840S Quad Port 10Gb SFP+ Direct Attach Rack Network Daughter Card.  However, the server will not be in an environment that can support 10Gb, at this time.  Is there a SFP+ module out there that is compatible with the above referenced card, and with a 1Gb network switch?  Or would it be best to purchase additional NIC cards?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Laptop freezes when connected to internet via WiFi

I am using Dell inspiron 15r laptop, with Windows 7 ultimate on it. Whenever I connect to the internet via WiFi, after some time, most of the programs which I use get freezed, and the connection to the internet is cut off. Even control panel functions do not happen. Normal shutting down is also not possible, and I have to force shut down by long pressing the power button. This situation arises only when I use the WiFi. When I use a LAN cable, no problem arises. This situation is quite irritating, as many times I have no option but to use wi-fi and whenever I use it after every few minutes, I am being forced to restart forcefully, and the cycle repeats. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.

Dell XPS 15 wifi not working

Hi Rick,

I have a dell xps 15 laptop. I reinstalled the windows on my pc by the CD provided with the laptop. When I am trying to install the driver from the driver CD, it says the software package can not be installed on your PC. I have tried installing the latest version of the laptop from the site but it is also not working. I have tried the Intel software update utility, but that also doesn't show any update. I am tired of all the solutions provided on the net but nothing is working in my case. The device manager is not showing the wifi device and update from device manager is also not working. I tried calling the dell support center but they also could not help me with the problem. Please help me with the issue.

Thanks,

Ankit

Hello.

For those who still looking for firmware update for Novatel Wireless Expedite EU870D, here is the link for original firmware update from manufacturer (it will be available for 30 days without downloads):

I've received it a several years ago from one of the Novatel's dealers where I've purchased my EU870D.

File name: 20417934_MUU_EU870D_103_7_EMEA_open_sim_v1a.exe

File size: 8977068 bytes.

It's an original file from manufacturer without any modifications. It's for original Novatel Wireless Expedite EU870D and I don't know if it compatible with Dell 5520.

Here you could find the latest drivers and software for Novatel products on one page:

the laptop will  be in airplane mode when it starts up, and it will not turn off for a few days. Troubleshooting always says that wireless capabilities are turned off and tries to turn them on, but that rarely works. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Known issue with dell laptops losing internet connection

$

Dell sell their products with known problems.

My one year and five days Inspiron laptop keeps on losing the internet connection. I have to restart the computer each time. I primarily use this computer for my homework and tests. Imagine how many times I got in trouble because I lost the internet connection while taking a quiz or a test online.

The problem started barely a month or two after I bought it. I sent them an email at the time and never got a reply. Recently, I replied to one of the countless emails they sent me about extending the warranty to explain the issue. I got an answer saying "call tech support. This email is about your warranty". They are only concerned about collecting money but there is no customer service

I called tech support. First of all, the first lady just answered and was chatting with her coworker for about 2 minutes until she acknowledged me. I explained the problem and she transferred me because my warranty expired. They knew already what it was and how to fix it. The second tech even clearly told me that he had this problem with multiple customers today and they fixed the issue the same way. But since my warranty expired 5 days ago, I had to pay $100 for a one-time service or $200 for one-year.

I talked to a supervisor and even to corporate office. None of them could even decline it's a known problem. I mention 20 times the countless reviews on Google about the same issue and what the tech even told me. All they kept saying is "if your warranty expired, it expired. Whether it's 2 seconds or 5 days you will have to pay for the service".

Never will I buy a Dell product again
