I have a Dell Inspiron Touch-Screen All-In-One desktop DN1222.  My Dell desktop is connected to the ethernet.  When the computer sleeps/rests it connects to wifi.  How can I change the settings/options so my computer connects to the ethernet after it sleeps/rests?  Thank you for your help and time, I look forward to hearing from someone soon.  Jim

I am experiencing an issue with the first 2 W-AP225 units I have installed so I suspect it is a configuration issue but I can't figure it out. 

First a little background. I am running the AP's in stand alone mode. I have 2 SSID's one for Intranet one for Guest. The Guest SSID works fine users can connect to it and access the internet as planned. 

The problem is when users connect to the Intranet SSID. As soon as a user connects to the Intranet SSID the AP starts dropping pings and as such any user connecting to this SSID starts loosing connectivity as well. it can get so bad that the users computers continually moves back and forth between the DELL AP and the 1 other Cisco Aironet 1140 on site. 

I have attached the config file of the Dell AP, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I bought Dell Laptob like 1 years ago and now i am in my wifi but no internet access,i installed windows 10,tried to install dell driver but it was for x64 windows ut i installed x32 for better performance,i installed lan ethernet realtek driver but ethernet cable is not working too,i login normally on other routers,not working on D-Link,i dont know what to do,no wifi no ethernet.

I am having trouble with a family member's internet connection.  My computer is connected to the internet just fine even after updating to Windows 10.

The other computer had a malware where the family member unknowingly updated a bogus Windows 10 upgrade and it stopped internet connection.   So we took it to Staples.  It had a watermark that showed it was bogus Windows 10. So they reinstalled the Windows 10 and cleaned it up, but the internet does not connect.  It has a good wireless connection just no internet. Staples said it connected fine in their store.

I used a different modem, and it connects to mine just well just not the other computer.  I have tried reading around trying different options, but nothing works at all.  I have tried comparing settings and setting it up similarly but nothing.  The IPv 6 or 4 whatever that is, is set to obtain address automatically.  I have tried disconnecting the modem but it doesn't work.  It cannot be the problem because it works on mine. I have tried disabling Norton.  I am afraid to uninstall anything since there is no internet in that computer.

I just don't know or understand what else to do but take it again to the store.  My computer's older and I have not had an issue.

I have two TZ210W at two different sites.  Both are running SonicOS Enhanced 5.8.1.9-58o and have Wireless firmware 7.3.0.353.  I have configured a Virtual Access Point on both devices to use RADIUS authentication.  One device will authenticate but the other will not.  When I check the log files on the NPS I can see both devices communicating with the NPS and using the same Connection Request and Network Policies. 

I had enabled Remote Authentication for logging but did not have any records in the log.  The device that authenticates starts with EAP (authentication type 5 in the NPS logs) then changes to PEAP (authentication type 11 in the NPS logs).  The device that fails starts with EAP but never changes.

I have verified that the RADIUS settings are the same on both.  Is there another log on the TZ210W that I can view that might tell me where the problem is?

The secretary at our company recently had an issue with her computer not connecting to our network/internet.  I traced it to either a bad Ethernet port on the motherboard or some other fault related to that.  I purchased the Broadcom NetXtreme 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Network Card PCI-E SFF for DELL from NewEgg after looking at the specs for my computer and seeing that as a valid replacement.  

I installed the drivers and hooked everything up fine and it all worked.  The next day, now I'm getting my boot screen, then it goes black and I see a 1 3 4 on the tower of my PC.  After some research, I found that I needed to reset my CMOS/BIOS settings.  I did that and after a restart, it boots up perfectly.  I shut down the machine to confirm that it will reboot and be fixed still.  Only to find that when I reboot, I get the same problem!  I'm so confused.  I know the card isn't bad, because it works when I reset the BIOS.  Why would it only work the first time after resetting the BIOS?  HELP!!!!

Side note:  If I remove the new network card and start my machine, it works perfectly, I just cannot access my network or the internet because the on board Ethernet port is not working.

If there is not such a thing, how can I put an official request in to have a tool like this built?

I come from the world of cisco where something like this is very easy.  So this is extremely frustrating to me.

I am using Dell Inspiron 3521, 4 GB RAM ,Window 10(upgraded) laptop. I recently opted for a new internet connection. While other devices such as mobiles and other laptops gets the speed upto 8 mbps, its my laptop which ***(gets only 1mbps). Earlier I thought it was my router’s problem. But when I connected laptop to LAN, it got speed (8 Mbps). So its definitely laptop’s problem, wifi router configuration or something like that.

Please help me solve this

On the interface for my DMZ (X2) I have not enabled any management - either HTTPS or HTTP yet in the firewall access rules for DMZ-DMZ I see them showing up there.  These are auto-created rules and I'm not sure why they are created when I have no need to manage the firewall from the DMZ.  Could someone please advise.  Thank you.

I just bought Dell Latitude E6440 laptop, I have all drivers installed except wifi driver. I have a problem with this driver.

First od all I noticed that wifi indicator is active all the time no matter if switch is enabled or disabled.

I tried updating the driver online in Device Manager but it didn't worked,

I tried downloading various drivers from Dell site but it tells me that my card isn't supported by particular drivers.

I also tried installing the driver by Slimdrivers software but it also failed.

I have no idea what to do next, maybe I could somehow manually check wifi module installed in my laptop and try to download the driver? Is this possible to do with laptop instead of PC? Which program should I use?

I have my wifi card enabled in BIOS and my operating system is Windows 7 Pro.

We're in hospital, she's I'll, I am 24/7 carer.

My Vostro 1720 connects promptly at home, WiFi or LAN.

Hospital has public use WiFi provided on each floor.  Transmitter has TP-Link on the cover and twin aerials.

The Vostro can see transmitters for 4 floors, the signals come & go and, regularly disappear.

2 iPads & an iPhone stay connected unless, the signal disappears, in the same room.  Signals are described as excellent or good.

The Vostro when I bring it in, after using at home,connects automatically.  Twice has reached the stage when all 3 links I can see with a decent signal, can't connect, sometimes get asked for the password, run trouble shooter multiple times with no success.  First time internet connection worked for 2 days, 2nd time for an hour, then couldn't log on to any link.

I'm puzzled why the Vostro doesn't hold the connection and the IOS devices do.

Public holiday over in a couple of days and I plan to catch the lady chief of the hospital and the IT manager.

I would be most grateful for queries, comments or, references to help in these encounters.

A previous discussion here says that this wireless card does recognize 5ghz, but I can find no solution.

The Dell XPS 8900 I purchased in July 2016 has this card and it does not find the 5ghz networks, only the 2.4 ghz.

Is there a solution, updated driver, or does it simply not work with 5ghz. If not, that's pretty disappointing for a brand new pc in 2016.

The USB stick booster will not connect to the internet unless I connect it directly to my single USB port on my laptop. So if I want internet, I lose my mouse use.

Have a cheap 4port USB hub from radio shack. I want to know if there is a hub that I can use both the signal booster and my mouse and if possible my printer too.

I have a Dell ultrabook insprion, 4 years old. Windows 7 home edition. If you need more information I'll give you what you need. It has puzzled Dell Tech support premium for a long time.

I have Vista biz 64 bit SP3, and it still isnt detecting my wireless card on first install of the vista OS, which I find odd given its SP3. I suspect a burned out card ?

This is 7 yrs old and I hope its not wrong to do this, but I'm having the same problem now, and doing a 'update driver' from device manager, on yes a 7 ish yr old computer, but I love it for the 17 " display and for mobile, is not working; it can't find the drivers.

The broadband device is showing up as found under  device manager, but there are 4 listings under 'other' and they are all ?'s, and the last one is called " network controller' and first three 'base system device.

I got this for mobility in part so I"m hoping I don't have to lug around a cord for it ;)

My Inspiron 17R 5721 running windows 8 loves to be restarted. Unfortunately this is not always convenient but it holds my internet hostage. Basically it randomly loses the internet switching to limited connection. Sometimes it's kind enough to only knock me out of minecraft or give the cogs the building then it reconnects. However, after a few failed attempts to take back Dew Drop Inn from the sellbots it switches to limited for good until I restart. In order to reduce the frequency of this frustration I've taken to restarting on a schedule. Unfortunately this only reduces the likelihood of losing a Mineplex game to a random disconnect.

The amount of data I download might be involved. I'm not certain about this but something has caused the randomly required restarts to happen more frequently. I have recently started downloading backups of two Minecraft servers. This might be connected.

Outside interference can get involved. My microwave oven is an efficient wifi jammer. While it's running all my wireless as well as bluetooth devices go offline. When the cooking is done all other devices reconnect. However sometimes, but not always, my dell does not reconnect. It switches to limited and requires i's beloved restart.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

as described, I can't get bluetooth on my E5540 laptop, altough the chip is working great (Intel Dual Band AC-7260 BT + Wifi). I don't use it so much so I discovered it a few days ago: 

Win7 was showing an 'unknown device' that was clearly referencing to BT.

After a round of Microsoft/Dell/Intel updates, there are no more 'unknown devices' but still no trace of BT (as you can see in the following picture).

Help?

Talktalk replaced router damaged by thunderstorm, we have 4 dell computers in odd rooms all work except the one next to the router which will not connect to the internet. Device manager shows no network adaptor. The storm could have damaged it and if so can some one recommend a card to replace it, I have replaced the sound cards etc in earlier computers so hopefully I can do the same WITH THIS.
