Inspiron 15R SE 7520 - Wireless Issue

$

The last couple days I have had issues connecting to my home wireless network.  The PC recognizes the network, but is not able to connect to it ("Can't connect to this network" error message).

I generated a wireless network report (netsh wlan show wlanreport), which contained a number of errors, but I am not sure what they indicate (bad wireless card?).

If connected with an ethernet cable to the router, the PC is able to connect to the network.

The network card is an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Snoopwall Enterprise 10 vs Sonicwall TZ 600?

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to see if anyone has experience with both TZ 600 or similar level product and Snoopwall Enterprise 10. I have noticed that Snoopwall's primary function in anti-mac spoofing which is something that the TZ 600 that I already have can do. That said, there are reporting functions such as being able to see hipaa compliance that I don't believe the TZ line is capable of. That said, for most of the controls portion of the hardware, is the TZ 600 capable of performing the same functions? Is it worth investing in a Snoopwall Enterprise 10 in addition to my TZ 600?

Thanks,

Jon

Bluetooth Enabling

Just got a Precision 5510 computer - one of the issues I'm dealing with is the BlueTooth.  I can't bring it to life.  BIOS refers to it as enabled, I installed the drivers for it (Win 7 64) yet it's not showing up in task bar, and nothing in the device manager, and nothing when I scan for it.  Could it be defective or not present? Here is what I see in my system configuration on Dell Support:

Hi, everybody. I want upgrade wlan card in my laptop Inspiron 7347. I look for dual band m2 adapter.

I try this card

Intel Wireless-N 7265 Plus Bluetooth7265NGW BNStone
Peak 2
PCIe (NGFF)bgn2x2:22.1,2.1+EDR,3.0,
3.0+HS,4.0(BLE)
BT 4.0
NGFF (M.2 2230)

but there is error 10 in device manager. I try different drivers from intel and dell site, but it didn't solve this problem

Which dual band card from Intel is good for this model.

Maybe this one:

Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7265 Plus Bluetooth7265D2W ANStone
Peak 2
PCIe (NGFF)abgn2x2:22.1,2.1+EDR,3.0,
3.0+HS,4.0(BLE)
BT 4.0
NGFF (M.2 1216)

What differents in m2 connector type 2230 and 1216 ?

airplane mode

the laptop will  be in airplane mode when it starts up, and it will not turn off for a few days. Troubleshooting always says that wireless capabilities are turned off and tries to turn them on, but that rarely works. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Laptop freezes when connected to internet via WiFi

I am using Dell inspiron 15r laptop, with Windows 7 ultimate on it. Whenever I connect to the internet via WiFi, after some time, most of the programs which I use get freezed, and the connection to the internet is cut off. Even control panel functions do not happen. Normal shutting down is also not possible, and I have to force shut down by long pressing the power button. This situation arises only when I use the WiFi. When I use a LAN cable, no problem arises. This situation is quite irritating, as many times I have no option but to use wi-fi and whenever I use it after every few minutes, I am being forced to restart forcefully, and the cycle repeats. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.

Dell XPS 15 wifi not working

Hi Rick,

I have a dell xps 15 laptop. I reinstalled the windows on my pc by the CD provided with the laptop. When I am trying to install the driver from the driver CD, it says the software package can not be installed on your PC. I have tried installing the latest version of the laptop from the site but it is also not working. I have tried the Intel software update utility, but that also doesn't show any update. I am tired of all the solutions provided on the net but nothing is working in my case. The device manager is not showing the wifi device and update from device manager is also not working. I tried calling the dell support center but they also could not help me with the problem. Please help me with the issue.

Thanks,

Ankit

Known issue with dell laptops losing internet connection

Dell sell their products with known problems.

My one year and five days Inspiron laptop keeps on losing the internet connection. I have to restart the computer each time. I primarily use this computer for my homework and tests. Imagine how many times I got in trouble because I lost the internet connection while taking a quiz or a test online.

The problem started barely a month or two after I bought it. I sent them an email at the time and never got a reply. Recently, I replied to one of the countless emails they sent me about extending the warranty to explain the issue. I got an answer saying "call tech support. This email is about your warranty". They are only concerned about collecting money but there is no customer service

I called tech support. First of all, the first lady just answered and was chatting with her coworker for about 2 minutes until she acknowledged me. I explained the problem and she transferred me because my warranty expired. They knew already what it was and how to fix it. The second tech even clearly told me that he had this problem with multiple customers today and they fixed the issue the same way. But since my warranty expired 5 days ago, I had to pay $100 for a one-time service or $200 for one-year.

I talked to a supervisor and even to corporate office. None of them could even decline it's a known problem. I mention 20 times the countless reviews on Google about the same issue and what the tech even told me. All they kept saying is "if your warranty expired, it expired. Whether it's 2 seconds or 5 days you will have to pay for the service".

Never will I buy a Dell product again

My network card is a Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHZ) but I have access to 5 GHZ internet. I don't know how network cards work exactly but I do know that it refuses to even see my 5 GHZ connection. I have no problems connecting to the 2.4 GHZ internet however. Is there some kind of fix for this or am I stuck with what I have given the network card? Thanks!

On the interface for my DMZ (X2) I have not enabled any management - either HTTPS or HTTP yet in the firewall access rules for DMZ-DMZ I see them showing up there.  These are auto-created rules and I'm not sure why they are created when I have no need to manage the firewall from the DMZ.  Could someone please advise.  Thank you.

Dell E6440 wifi problem

Hello,

I just bought Dell Latitude E6440 laptop, I have all drivers installed except wifi driver. I have a problem with this driver.

First od all I noticed that wifi indicator is active all the time no matter if switch is enabled or disabled.

I tried updating the driver online in Device Manager but it didn't worked,

I tried downloading various drivers from Dell site but it tells me that my card isn't supported by particular drivers.

I also tried installing the driver by Slimdrivers software but it also failed.

I have no idea what to do next, maybe I could somehow manually check wifi module installed in my laptop and try to download the driver? Is this possible to do with laptop instead of PC? Which program should I use?

I have my wifi card enabled in BIOS and my operating system is Windows 7 Pro.

Thank you in advance for your support

wifi not working well or at all after recent update

We bought a Dell All-in-one Inspiron 23" 5348 Windows 8.1. Upgraded to Windows 10 with some help on this forum. All went well. It has been fine until a recent Windows update or maybe it was a driver update. Now wifi is a real problem. Have to restart a few times to get it to work and when it does it is very slow. How do I go back to previous driver? It worked just fine. Or would that be the thing to do?

I plugged in a network cable into my modem and I'm using that for now.

xps l502x missing software and bluetooth is constantly on

Hi, I sent the message below to Dell's facebook page, I was wondering if anyone knew any solutions to this problem I'm having with my laptop.

Hi, I would like to ask for help with my xps 15 l502x laptop with windows 7. While trying to search for a way to turn off my bluetooth, I saw a picture on the dell community support forum of the windows mobility centre and saw that mine was slightly off.

This is the image below from the forum -

http://en.community.dell.com/resized-image.ashx/__size/550x0/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/3324/0083.windowsmobilitycenter.jpg

For the bluetooth, the 'turn off' function is gone and replaced with 'launch'. The touchpad section is completely gone and the short key only turns on the touchpad light, but does not disable it. I think this may have to do with my laptop crashing about two years ago. It was fixed under its warranty that has now run out. However, after it was fixed, I noticed that some of the programs and functions were disappearing and the new battery I received died after six months.

I have updated the drivers but these and other functions are still missing. And with the laptop being prone to freezing on simple tasks and overheating, I am left thinking that these problems may be connected and whether there is a way to fix it.

TD-W8960N TP-Link to SonicWALL TZ300

Hello

We have just purchased the SonicWALL TZ300 for our Network and when we purchased it we were told by the isp we would have no problems fitting with RJ45. I have a good working knowledge of Firewalls / Routers but I'm not an advanced user so I'm hoping I can get some advice from here.

So we have the TD-W8960N TP-Link ADSL 2 router which has rj11 and of the course the TZ300 has only RJ45 connections so this posses a problem for the WAN connection. With the TZ300 it has a superb wizard for connecting to he WAN but this useless if you don't have the right cable.

So it must be possible to somehow bridge /vpn the two devices or even would an RJ11 to RJ45 convertor work, has anybody come across this or have any advice on the best way to achieve this

Thanks in advance.

Mobile broadband on windows 10 64 bit

$

Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude E7270 and the mobile broadband is not working. I can't see anything related to mobile broadband in windows.According to some research there should appear "Cellular" tab in "Network & Internet", but can't see anything.

There is a slot for sim card and I I believe I have downloaded all drivers.

"Intel Wireless gigabit user mode" in device manager is the only one that obviously fails: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".

Dell Mobile Broadband Manager is not installed and I can't find a version for windows 10 64 bit.

Could you please guide me in the correct direction to install any key drivers or software?

Wlan / WiFi Issue after Windows 10 upgrade

$

After a upgrade to Windows 10, the WiFi appears to have been turned off and when I try to activate it with Fn+F8, it says I need to turn on the WiFi switch but there are no physical WiFi switch on this model laptop. And no luck trying to turn it on via right click on the adaptor, via Windows GUI or the WiFi Icon on the keyboard.

Tried installing latest Toshiba drivers for Realtek WiFi adaptor and Toshiba System driver but no luck either.

I'm thinking this issue may not be specific to Win10 upgrade.... Possibility experienced by people who upgraded to Windows 8 but can't find any topics with a quick search.

Does anyone know how I may be able to get around this issue?

Thank you.
