Unidentified network
I recently tried (unsuccessfully) to add a wifi range extender to my home network. When I gave up, I noticed that what used to be my local network is now an "unidentified network" with no internet access. My system says the problem is in Ethernet and is listed to a realtek Pcle GBE Family controller. I looked into its properties, and the IP address blocks are all blank. Note: I still have internet access thru my modem. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Are Dell Laptop Wi-Fi cards Upgradeable?
I am the recent owner of a Dell XPS 13 w/ Intel 8260. I also recently purchased a Linksys EA9500 router w/ MU-MIMO capability. Currently, there is only one card on the market with this capability. In the future, if I want to upgrade my Wi-fi card, I want to confirm that Dell doesn't place hardware ID limitations in the BIOS that would prohibit this. I had an old Lenovo computer that was very disappointing to find out that when 802.11ac protocol was introduced I was unable to upgrade the internal Wi-fi card due to BIOS restrictions (computer wouldn't boot unless Wi-fi card was Lenovo part...and computer was several years old so hardware IDs were old). I have heard about people upgrading Dell laptops and just want to make sure I've been fortunate enough to get the benefit of Dell being upgradeable. Thanks.

Can Wifi in Dell 3148 converted to Wifi hotspot??
The hosted network support is negative for this device.
With reference to Article ID: SLN208643 on Dells support website, after upgrading the drivers still the hosted network support is negative.
Wifi hotspot created by Windows 10 has got a better range than third party softwares.

Wifi issue Dell Precision 7710
this morning I wasn't able to connect to office network. The office wifi network is WPA TKIP, and my laptop hasn't had any issue until this morning. I updated the adapter driver to the latest version but the problem is still there.
I tried all the methods I could find online. I deleted the network connection, manually built one, etc. And none of those worked.
Any advice would help.

XPS 13 9343 DW1560 Win10 Driver Issue - No Wifi detected and frequent disconnections
Hello,
since upgrading to Windows 10 on my XPS 9343 Wireless (DW1560) networking became a pain: the wifi often cannot connect to wireless networks (which were perfectly working before Win10 upgrade) and the only way to get it working is to disable the Wifi device from "Windows Device Manager" and re-enable it several times.
I tried both with the Dell official drivers, downloadable from the support website and with drivers from Windows Update (v 7.35.333.0): Windows Update drivers improved the situation, but the functionality and stability of wireless networking are not yet at the level of Windows 8.1.
From my perception and tests its a drivers issue: may I ask some help to get some support ? It is an huge issue having a 1.700€ professional laptop with a not-fully-working wifi connectivity.

Dell Inspiron 7559 (i7-4700hq model)
I purchased a Dell Inspiron 7559 (i7 variant), and upon using it won't connect to my wifi network. Using an Ethernet cable for the same network works, and the laptop can connect to my phones mobile hot-spot.
I downloaded the latest software for my intel wireless unit while on the mobile hot-spot, but upon using the troubleshooter it states a default gateway cannot be found. Leaving the network 'unidentified' and a limited connection (no internet access). Other devices/laptops can connect to this wifi network with ease.
I've tried restarting the router/modem along with the laptop, I've used the command prompt to 'ipconfig/release' then 'ipconfig/renew'. It has not helped, and it tells me no operation can be performed on Ethernet/Local Area Connection/Bluetooth Network Connection while it has it's media disconnected.
I'm not sure what to do at this point, and it's quite frustrating to have problems with the laptop from the get go. Anyone have any ideas?

Re-install - now internet issue
my sons PC has been getting very slow .... Dell E521 but no errors and no network issues.
Decided to do a clean install of all.
So used the Dell OS re-install to put in a clean install of XP-Professional
Obviously first thing to do is to get network connectivity all OK ... then I can look at newer OS
All OK ... other than it is prompting for network validation.
Also ran the Dell drivers resource cd to install all the drivers.
At this point Ethernet works - to a fashion - but not correctly.
By default it has IE6 ... when I for example type in bbc.co.uk it will go to that site OK (site complains browser is too old)
If I try Amazon.co.uk - fails
Google - fails
Microsoft update site - fails
Microsoft activation site fails
Kaspersky main site fails
Kaspersky HTTPS for download fails
The failure is 'cannot find server or DNS error'
I went to IE
>Tools
>internet options
>connections
> LAN settings : set to Automatically detect settings
then tried
>Tools
>internet options
>connections
>Setup
>connect to internet
>set up connection manually
>connect using Broadband that is always on
Still the same.
Also tried using set up a home network ... it was happy to connect to router but still browsing issues.
What am I missing ?

Mobile Broadband stops working
We have a problem with our Latitude E7250s. The WWAN cards connect and work for a little while, but then they stop being connected. When we have people connected to the mobile broadband it will just stop working; the systems will say that they are still connected by will stop actually getting out to the web. Rebooting the laptop will get them back into a state where they work for a while, but that is not really a practical solution. We have pulled down the newest drivers from Intel directly, but they still do this.
Anyone else having this problem?

Need access to OIDs for N2048P Dell Switch for monitoring temperature
I have been unable to access the OID list for N2048P Dell Switch. I have downloaded the firmware but was unable to find a OID list in the zip file. We need to monitor the switch for temperature settings during the summer. We use Opsview for monitoring the switch but have unable to find the OID for temperature. I have tried using SNMP walk but it times out after 30 minutes.

Weak WiFi on Dell XPS 13 9350 i7 with Touchscreen
Purchased XPS 13 9350, i7 Touchscreen version on the 5th July 2016, the weak WiFi signal makes the machine difficult to use, basically you either sit by the router or connect via wired Ethernet.
I have installed all the up to date drivers, bios, etc and yes I am using the Broadcom 1.555.0.0 dated 26/11/15 driver for the Dell 1820A 802.11ac card. System Bios version 1.4.4 16/06/2016.
Using the laptop the actual throughput drops to sub 6mbps after 6m from router and then drops to 200kbps or Zero at times making the WiFi challenging, also as has been stated on other posts the WiFi networks nearby are not found. I have a 5 year old Samsung SF310 that can see 6 available networks and connects with better throughput in the same location, I am using it to write this post without issue, the XPS can only find one network.
I have contacted Dell who did remote diags on machine, no hardware fault was found, no new driver is available, I am waiting on Dell to come back to me on next steps - so basically paid £1399 for A NEW LAPTOP that struggles to use WiFi networks unless you are sitting next to the router or connect via wired.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my experience and to advise that although the XPS 13 is a light and powerful machine it is compromised by the WiFi card and driver.
I do think that Dell need to ship a new driver/card combination with the machine as the current configuration has issues.

slow wifi after win 10 upgrade

Did my ethernet card died?
I have a Dell Inspiron N7110 and I can only get connected at networks and internet through wifi.
I changed cable which is working at any other device-at device manager network adapter drivers are up to date and device says "working properly"
So what else I should do to check if it is software issue or what?

Set up Voice/Data VLANs on ports, Voip works but Data doesn't

DELL Laser Printer B1265dfw mono MFP
Bought this printer maybe 2 years ago, since I have owed it I think I re-installed the software 10 times! If I let the printer sit for several hrs without printing, it will not print, wi-fi, wise. I have to physically get up, turn the printer off, start it over, hit the wps button, and after it is connected, I will go back to laptop, hit print and then it will print., I have asked so many people, now the printer is only about 12 feet from the laptop, with one wall in the way...Anybody have any ideas? help...thanks

Dell Inspiron i7559 1 bar connection issue
Just yesterday, all of my connections for only my Inspiron have gone down to 1 bar, with very poor connection that is unusable. I scanned for viruses and there didn't seem to be any, and every other device that I use connects to the internet fine..

Windows 10 driver updates for Optiplex GX620
I have just installed Windows 10 on my Optiplex GX620 having upgraded from Windows 7 professional.
I have not been able to install any software as I cannot get an internet connection. My ISP has walked me through various checks but still cannot get connected via Ethernet. They suggested that I contacted Dell to see if there is an updated driver for the computer.
I can get on line by using my laptop so would be able to download any updated driver if I knew the location etc. in order to download it.
