Hi hustler1961,
If you wish to use a hardwired connection between your computer and router, you might need to disconnect the wireless network as two connections to same network might cause a conflict.
If the issue persists, You may follow the steps below to check if the drivers are listed as installed in Device Manager :
- Press'Windows' + 'R' button on keyboard.
- Type 'devmgmt.msc' in the Run box without the quotes.
- In the Device Manager window, expand Network Adapters and check if the Ethernet controller is listed
If the driver is not present in the system and appears as Ethernet Controller under Other Devices with a yellow question mark, you may download/install the drivers from Here. Follow the onscreen instructions. Restart the computer when prompted.
If the issue is unresolved after installing drivers, you may follow the steps below to check the network connectivity o your system :
- Press 'Windows' + 'R' button on keyboard.
- Type 'cmd' in the Run box without the quotes.
- Type 'ipconfig /all' in the command prompt windows and share the findings here
Please reply with the findings. I would be glad to help you.
