I may play around with it a little more later today, depending. I'm fairly certain that the real issue is that Intel needs to properly tune the drivers for the 6235 wireless adapter. I don't even have an XPS15. I have an XPS13, so the hinge assembly that was mentioned would not likely be a fix, and so far a great minority of people have actually seen the adapter work any better after hardware replacement, so I am not very concerned about going down that path.
Are there going to be some hardware failures out there? Sure. I'm pretty convinced that the issue is bound to be driver related at this point, though. Oddly enough, I don't have any of these issues when I am at home. Everything works brilliantly. It does seem like the adapter/driver stack has a very hard time dealing with an access point infrastructure, though, and for me, the 6205 driver helped a ton.
