Hi jalams2000,

I would suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps below:

1. If you are using a secured network, check if network key is correctly entered. You may also check the IP address on the wireless network adapter. If the IP address is 169.254.XXX.XXX on a secured network, the network key entered may be wrong.

To check the IP address, go to Start and type cmd. On the command prompt windows type ipconfig and press enter.

2. Check if wireless is working in Safe mode with networking.

To boot the computer in Safe Mode with Networking, please switch on the computer and start tapping the F8 key which would take you to Advanced Boot Option screen. Using the up and down arrow key, select Safe Mode with Networking to boot the computer into Safe Mode with Networking.

4. Run the network troubleshooter by right-clicking on the network icon in the notification area of the taskbar, and then click troubleshoot problems. Restart the system once done.

5. If the issue still persists, update Wireless card drivers and BIOS from Dell’s support site using wired connection.

6. Still unresolved, run PC Dr - Wireless test / Dell / Intel Wireless Utility Diags and check if you get any errors.

Please reply with the findings.

Thanks and Regards
