Have two systems that had solid wireless connections until a few days ago. Since the, both systems are constantly dropping the wireless connection to my Wireless Router.
The Wireless Router checks out since two other systems Dell Laptop (Win 7 / Broadcom Wireless) and a desktop (WinXP / Linksys USB Wireless have no connection issues.
System #1 is a Dell 660S with a Dell 1506 Wireless card running Windows 8 Pro.
System #2 is a Dell Inspiron 3521 with Dell 1307 Wireless card running Windows 8.
I have tried the power setting changes listed on this forum, updated the wireless drivers to the latest version, updated my chip set on both systems and removed 3rd party anti virus as have been suggested here already.
I also checked Windows Update to see if a patch might have caused the problem ... however there has been no changes to the system.
The common factor is that both Wireless cards are made by Atheros and both are running Windows 8
Any suggests would be helpful as my wife is not happy about the network cable I have strung across the house.
