Hi --
My son inherited my Inspiron e1505. After years of abuse, it was fubar (very slow, wouldn't shut down, etc.).
I tried & failed to restore (ctrl+f11; go no response), so I reinstalled the operating system (p/n ky938; xp sp2).
Got that up. Have no light on wifi. Checked BIOS, is set for both bluetooth & wireless; Fn+f2 does not light it up.
Went to Dell drivers; found Dell_multi-device_A17_R174291.exe listed as wireless driver for e1505. No joy; got an error message that there was no compatible hardware found.
Old copy of Belarc shows this:
Communications | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Conexant HDA D110 MDC V.92 Modem
|
What do I need to do to turn on wireless, so that I can continue rebuilding this computer?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
