i checked the antenna connections a while ago and they seemed connected well, as for the attenna diversity, while their is an option it only has auto, i can attempt to change the channel and see if that works but i changed from having it set to a high channel originally to auto select as i thought maybe it would select a better channel but still had no change in the connection speed. i already selected to retain maximum preformance and to never disable the device to save power as i am rarely on battery power. as for driver i had tried multiple driver packages to get the actual broadcom wireless utility that i used to check signal and other things. i will look to see if i can get a different driver that will allow me to get a better connection speed but the card is for my old laptop (an m17x r1) that i am using in an m17x r4 and they will not list the drivers on my new service tag, i still have my old service tag i can use to grab the drivers though again as i did that to obtain the driver to begin with.
i did a quick check for drivers already on my system and 2 options were listed a broadcom and microsoft driver. i believe i was using the broadcom so switched to the microsoft and i do have a slightly higher speed now but its varying much more.
