sry i didnt see your post until now.
the wi-fi issue was resolved by my returning the laptop .
DELL eventually got in touch with me......... however the Rep dealt fairly with me.
I let myself down on this purchase because usually i spend alot of time checking out a machine before buying it but as this was a christmas present i did not put in the research and got caught out.
mores the pity as it honestly was a beautiful laptop , but ALOT of forums are full of people with this wi-fi issue going back a few years and DELL are in a bit of a bind as how to deal with it . had i known this i wouldnt have touched it.
I have alot of dell machines and they all had their quirks but were generally pretty good . my personal favorite is an old XPS 720H2C which i use alot but unfortunately is coming to the end of its gaming career and cannot be upgraded BTX MOBO etc. etc.
maybe DELL would consider doing a deal for me on a new Aurora ?? anybody listening?? lol
