Thank you for the details; I appreciate it. It seems that the drivers for the wireless card are missing. Inspiron 1545 was shipped with 3 types of wireless card:
- Dell Wireless 1397 802.11b/g half-height Mini-Card
- Dell Wireless 1515n 802.11n half-height Mini-Card
- Intel Wireless 5100n a/b/g/n half-height Mini-Card
You may check the system configuration of your computer. Click on the link http://dell.to/QjjZDA , type the service tag of your computer and click on System Configuration tab . Then you can download and install the drivers from the following links:
