Re: Dell N5050 Wireless problems

Hi peterf92,

Check the wireless connection works in Safe mode with networking (restart the computer and tapping F8 on dell logo. Select Safemode with networking).

Also, follow below settings are set correctly:

  • Restart the computer and boot normally.
  • Click Start.
  • Type Device manager in Search.
  • Click on Network and then right click on the wireless adapter, left click properties and click power management.
  • Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

If you don’t find the above settings try below steps.

  • Click on start
  • Type device manager
  • Click advanced
  • Click Bandwidth capability
  • Change to 20/40mhz
  • Go to the power options, and change the Wireless Adapter Setting from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.


 

If the issue persists, try updating the update the wireless router's firmware to the latest available.
