first of all, it"s a "fritz" modem as usual given by 1&1/company with your internet account. the model is the one from three years ago - so it should be compatible with every operating systems today. Third, it uses the n-standard. the used channel is the one, which is the less used in our environment. (so Nr. 9)
My Problem is, that everybody can connect and has a connection (well and perfect) but me... oh boy.
Now, when I put a live-CD from ubuntu 12.4 and try it, everything works well / perfect, like with everyone else who is using the network.
The security is the necessary WPA2 key, less is not possible, cos otherwise other people who crack the key and use it illegal can cause us problems.
So, what I want to know is, which configuration is on the sold pc, that makes it impossible to use my notebook in a comfort way and not loosing a week to check my mails.
